5 Relaxing and Powerful Activities to Help You Stay Positive during this time of crisis.

At this time it’s hard to not feel pressured or negatively impacted by the news about the current situation. A lot of people are panicking, stressing out or focusing on the negativity and spreading it to others without even realizing it.

But, positive thinking is a choice that we all can make and in this time of crisis it is extra needed so that we can get through this without harming our well being.

There are people who still have to go to work which can be a major stress trigger with everything that is currently going on. So, I highly recommend you to try to implement some relaxing activities that can be very beneficial and helpful. The same goes for those who are self-isolating themselves to the max and having so much free time in their hands.

So, here are some relaxing activities that can help you to stay positive during this time of crisis:

1. Breathwork meditation.

A few days ago I stumbled upon an interesting video about Breathwork meditation by Michelle D’Avella. I actually didn't know that such a meditation exists and the comment section was full of positive feedback, so I tried it.

Here was my experience: At first I was concerned If I did right the breathing exercise, but then suddenly I started to feel emotions coming out and a weird sensation in my body. I literally started to cry. I must say this was a magical meditation, I really felt a lot better by releasing repressed emotions out.

As my mind constantly consists of thoughts about work and ideas, I came to realization that there might be so much repressed emotions without me even realizing it. I highly recommend you to try this meditation out - 10/10.

2. 5 Minute Meditation + Positive Affirmations (for those who are very busy).

It is a well know fact that Meditation is a very powerful activity when it comes to relaxation and dealing with stress.

You can literally take 5 minutes out of your day and meditate, so there is no excuse for you to not do it.

Positive affirmation ideas to tell yourself during meditation:

  • ''I am confident in myself'',

  • ''I am releasing any self-doubt and embracing more self-love and faith in myself'',

  • ''I am beautiful inside and out'',

  • ''I am worthy of unconditional love and respect''

3. Put some relaxing music in the background while doing daily tasks.

Instead of constantly listening to the news, put some relaxing music in the background while doing daily tasks and it will help to feel you more relaxed and positive. There are a lot of options to choose from on Youtube, this is one of them:

4. Sit down, drink some tea and enjoy the moment or read a book.


''Pukka'' cleanse tea is my favorite, that I've been enjoying for some time now.

I don't know much about the cleanse effect as I do on how it makes me feel and it has that relaxation effect that I love.

So, if you are currently looking for some teas to try, I highly recommend you to try this one.

5. Get creative.

It is really therapeutic and calming to do creative activities such as drawing. When it comes to art, there are unlimited possibilities of how you can get creative with it. It is an amazing way how to let your imagination do the work.

I made such a mess in my room with this one yesterday, although it took me less than an hour to create it. If you ever want to try painting fluid art, learn from my mistake - be sure that the place is right for it because it can get REAL messy. You should have seen my facial expression when I saw that the acrylic paint got on the floor, cleaning it felt like a work out to me.
