If you are not sure if you need social media detox, these 5 signs might be helpful for you to make that decision.

1. You are constantly comparing yourself and your life to others.

If you constantly catch yourself comparing your life to others it is a big sign that you need to take a break from social media and work on changing your perception of it.

We all have at least once or even hundreds of times compared ourselves to others, but it is very important to have an open mind when it comes to the content others are posting online.

If you struggle with a comparison, I highly recommend you check out this blog post - 8 Tips How To Stop Comparing Yourself to Others.

2. You feel exhausted and negative after spending time on social media.

If you feel exhausted or negative about yourself after you have spent hours on social media, it's time to limit the time you are using it or even better - take some time out and do more things that make you happy.

3. You are spending way too much time on it.

While you have a ton of other stuff to do, you just can't stop checking social media. This can result in feeling like nothing is moving forward in your life, you might feel unaccomplished and it can put you in a negative state of mind after you see how much work you have to do yet you don't have left enough time for any of it.

4. You are way too negative towards yourself when it comes to posting photos.

If you are struggling with not being able to choose what kind of photo to post due to feeling pressured to fit in the beauty standards or what's trending on that particular platform - you might need to take a little break from it.
