In today's world, it is very hard to escape from any type of negativity, but the best thing we can do for our well-being is to know how to deal with it.
Sometimes we might not even notice that our negative emotions and physical exhaustion or tiredness might be the result of being around negative people or in a negative environment. Especially if you are a sensitive individual like me.
Dealing with negative people or life-situations can be exhausting and take a huge toll on your mental and physical health, so here are 9 positive ways how to protect your vibe and well-being.

1. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, not put you down.
If you feel like people around you are making you feel negative emotions about yourself, or are constantly putting you down - don't be afraid to choose yourself first and take a step out of certain friendships, no matter how hard it can be.
Very often we tend to automatically adapt certain elements from those who we spend time and socialize with - habits, even perceptions, and how we view ourselves. If we are constantly surrounded by negative people, it can affect us quite a lot and not in a positive way.
2. Don’t engage in conversations that can potentially make you feel bad.
Avoid any conversations that are meant to negatively impact your self-esteem or your well-being in general. Remember that other people's opinions about you are nothing more than their perception of that specific thing, habit, or quality that they are talking about.
3. Take a break from social media.
If you feel like you need a break from social media, because you perhaps have stumbled upon something negative that has left you with negative emotions, don't feel ashamed. There is nothing wrong with that, in fact, taking breaks from it can be a very positive thing because your well-being is much more important than always being active online.

4. Focus on what is good in your life.
In times where it seems that nothing is going right, look for something good in your life. Look for those seemingly small moments that made you smile, or try to focus on things that make you happy.
5. Listen to your intuition.
We tend to frequently feel if something is wrong or right in our hearts, but our minds tend to do their own thing and dismiss what our gut is trying to say. It can take a long time to be in alignment with your intuition, but it is so worth it.
If I hadn`t listened to my intuition, I wouldn't even have this platform and would never experience so many amazing things I have acquired while working with my passion. So, please try to listen more to your intuition and let it guide you.

6. Do more what you love.
All of us have things we don`t want to do but have to. It can vary from simple things like chores to more important things like job-related activities. Try to invest and prioritize more of your energy into things you like, which in turn will cheer you up and bring more positivity to your life as a whole.
7. Practice a positive mindset.
Mindset is the key to everything - how we see the world, ourselves, others, and everything else. Imagine how your perception of everything I mentioned above would be if you would have a more positive mindset.

8. Set Boundaries.
This is a very important step to take when it comes to protecting your energy from negativity, and one of the toughest ones too. It is so important to let others know what is okay with you and what is not. Otherwise, people can keep talking about something or doing something that is negatively affecting you inside without them knowing it.
9. Visualize yourself getting rid of negative energy.
If you are getting a lot of hate or you feel like people are intentionally impacting you with negative energy, one great exercise is to visualize yourself getting rid of it via meditation.
The app that I personally use when it comes to this method and meditation in general is called Headspace. It is a great app that can help you not only visualize what your heart desires, but just be more aware of the present moment.
